Sonic Versus Mario

...lieve in this battle, as he would continue to stomp on Sonic's head. Now on to the "Game breakdown":

After reviewing the above "tale of the tape", it is my conclusion that the winner of a contest between these two behemoths would be mario by a Knock Out. I believe that his perseverance and stamina would wear down Sonic and render Sonic's one advantage (his speed) worthless.

... a green Yoshi. This makes the game much easier as it is accessible before the second castle. Since it is so unknown for first time players and even veteran players it is very easily missed. It seems too easy to find to be such a unknown secret.

The Reason For Wii's Success

... largely due to the fact that Super mario brothers, in and of itself, was a revolutionary game. There was nothing like it at the time. It was a whole new wave on interactivity, and thus a new generation of gamers were born. Back in the early days, there's was one particular element that all games had in common: Ease of use.

Games were fairly easy to pick-up and play, and as a result, this allowed a large number of people that were interested in the medium to give it a try. As time went by, games naturally evolved. At the same time, as games started to evolve more, so did the complexity of playing them. Historically, all video games were presented in two-dimensions (2-D). In the mid-90's though, we were introduced to games that now leaped to the third (3-D) dimension. As a result, a whole new dimension of complexity, if you will, tagged right along with it. Although games being in 3-D may have had some affect on the "ease-of-use" factor, a large part of games becoming too complex had to do with the natural progression of the game controllers. Essentially, the tools that gamers use to control what's happening on-screen.
